uninstall reformat

uninstall and reformat?

I installed Vista on a second, non-XP boot HDD just to check it out, liked it, but discovered there are some as yet unreleased drivers and software for my scanner. So, how does one now effectively uninstall Vista? I boot to XP on the primary HDD as usual but now can't delete or even reformat the secondary HDD because it appears there are some system files executed on boot (XP) preventing me from doing so. Ideas?

What are you using to select which drive you want to boot?
